The Molar last name has its origin in the towns of Celrà and Llers, both in Girona, Spain, Europe. The Llers Molar's farm house is now in ruins. It's three km to the SW of Llers, a town of Girona, Spain, Europa. It's close the hermitage of San Quirze de Olmells, near Llers. This house was documented in 1075.
There is also a Molar family in Celrà. The Celrà Molar's farm house is in Palagret near Celrà town. A Molar family branch was in the lands of the Pubol castle, in the district of Palagret, a litle town near Celra, in Girona, Spain since 1175. The first Molar of who we have documented is John, who has lived near 1175. The Spanish Molar, and also a lot of families from Italy, France and the United States come from him. Uns mots d’introducció: Sempre és difícil estudiar una família, però gràcies a les aportacions d’uns quants Molar d’arreu del món hem arribat força lluny. Les dades estan verificades fins on s’ha pogut i són el resultat de la feina de molts cosins nostres. El resultat n’és l’arbre que es remunta fins el segle XII. Els que hem treballat per fer-vos arribar a mans aquesta història us donem les gràcies per haver-la llegit i esperem, amb el temps, anar fent llum i saber més coses de la vida quotidiana dels nostres avantpassats, cosa que vol dir exhumar paperassa de capítols matrimonials, vendes de terra i arxius municipals i notarials.
